Handy light for viewing watch while taking sights

At Orchard supply Hardware, I found a clip on LED light that uses 1 AAA battery.
It seems ideal for lighting my watch after taking an observation. It is a bit bright and has no red filtering. A simple solution was several layers of clear tape, each layer colored by a red marker. Trim the edges with a razor. The light fits handily in my Astra case without removing it.
