I'm not ready to buy this yet. Inman, Raper, Bowditch/1938 all get better answers. (although values may differ depending on height of eye choice.) ((also note the -42.0' vice -42.2' problem in newer Bowditch)) I worked on calculating "A" for the corrected altitude using log and trig tables, and the rounding errors just aren't big enough-often enough to explain the newer Bowditch 'problems'. I get one 'problem' in 12, not 5 in 12 as for the 44 deg Lat case in new Bowditch.
Can someone work the 44 deg Lat case and actually demonstrate the rounding errors. The attached let me play with rounding errors due to 4-5-6 etc log tables and 4-5-6 etc trig tables. Can't see it.
