Authors listed for solution of meridian angle are:

    LaLande (1793)
    Lynn (1827)
    Hommey (1863)
    Davis (1897)
    Blackburne (1914)
    Littlehales (1923, HO 203 & 204)

Blackburne provided solutions for azimuth as well as hour angle in the band 30° N to 30°S.  Hour angles and azimuths are in separate tables. A Sexgesimal Proportional table is included to aid interpolation.

I have not used these tables because I would have to travel  660nm to reach the latitude band. My comments come from a quick look at the Explanation and Use of Tables section. I do not know easy it was to use the tables.
