I mentioned that I introduced my wife to a green flash while sitting on the beach at Moorea with Mai Tais in our hands. Does that qualify? And I still prefer connoisseurs to snobs.

I can't imagine how anyone could possibly become a green flash snob unless they observed during cocktail hour. Watching green flashes at dawn is way too intentional to qualify as snobbism. Therefore you will have to move to the west coast, where you can settle in on your deck and enjoy a nice glass of california chardonnay and warm pacific breezes as you watch. Somewhere around Santa Barbara, up high in the hills would be perfect. ;-)
