I used Google Earth. (Would that be considered cheating? XD)

I started to use the "ruler" tool, but when I got to Russia it flipped over to the shorter route heading north. Not exactly ideal sailing territory!

So, I switched to the "path" tool and started making guesses.

I'm still curious if I could somehow use Pub. 229 to solve it, though. If I try, I'll post my results. But I suspect I may run into the same sort of problem I had with the "ruler" tool. Hmmm...now I *must* do it! :)
