Sean got it right too. I was really surprised that gc path Pakistan-Mozambique strait does not hit Antarctica, but instead passes just off the Antarctic peninsula and into the Pacific.
Sean, for the lack of decent globe in my possession, I used google earth too. I aligned virtual globe so that Mozambique strait was in the center of screen and Pakistan straight "up" from it. I placed mouse cursor over the strait. Then I pressed and held "down" button and as globe rotated, I watched that only water passes under mouse cursor until it eventually hit east coast of Kamchatka.
