Belay the last question. Having an off day! I meant to say, do you know how/if one could adapt this Kelly graphical method to get Hc from known LHA and declination? If so, this quick simple method could be ok for both standard St Hilaire LOPs and Lunar clearance. Brilliant!
And for those who scorn graphical methods, may I humbly remind them that most people seem to end up plotting their accurate, 8 digit calculator derived Hc, their less accurate, sextant derived Ho and intercept on small plotting sheets with blunt pencils. Not sure of the accumulated errors there?
