    As stated before, I have tried 5 different units.  One of them was a Garmin product that was still on the shelf of a Boaters World store.  Granted I wasn't familiar with all of the units input modes but telling the unit to go from Grand Rapids to Europe OR Japan resulted in only a rhumb line being displayed.  The unit however was going to follow a Great Circle.
