Hi again; Rick is right in respect of Non-complient receivers of whatever make. My GPS is a 7 year old Trimble Ensign which is non-complient but "Upgradable". (This means "Dont chuck it away but don't use it for real on Saturday night!). After Rollover I can reset the receiver by a process which will wipe all the existing memory and this includes all my recorded waypoints! When I turn it on again I will have to at least 30 mins for it to copy down all the new almanac data.(If the GPS is moving while this is being done it could take a lot longer, doing this in my car travelling south at 70 mph it took an hour to aquire a fix). Trimble has a good website atfor more details about their own products and wnro in general. Another discusion group specific to GPS can be found at the Royal Institute of Navigation website Clive.
