Garmin has good info about this on their website at: http://www.garmin.com/faqs/1.html I have an old Garmin GPS 40, which will get a bit confused Saturday at 5pm PDT. I plan to watch it get confused, but the solution is then simple: Start the unit with the PAGE key held down when turning it on causes it to request a new download of all almanac data from the satellites and away she goes... newer Garmins are fine and will do the Right Thing without any key presses. The 'ole sextant will of course sail through without a hitch. ;-) Dan -----Original Message----- From Richard B. EOW problems will mean non-compliant receiver will be unable to determine epoch dates. A non-compliant receiver may have little or no idea about where the constellation is and thus will probably be able to produce a fix. Positions, if any, will be highly suspect. Waypoint data, which was obtained prior to EOW rollover, will *not* be affected. Non-compliant receivers which are unable to determine their position will, naturally, not be able to use the waypoint data. Re-entering the data will make no difference; the problem is the receiver has no idea about where it is, not where it's been in the past. Rick S/V One With The Wind, Baba 35
