As I am no expert either, I can only describe what works for me: When using Internet Explorer, after getting the google book page you want, go to save page as. Select type "webpage complete". Give it a name. You'll find and .htm file and a folder with the selected name. In the folder will be an image file of the initial google book page that IE went to. Not too good if you used the scroll bars to move around in the google book. Using firefox, the save "webpage complete" seems to save an individual image file of almost all of the google book pages you've looked at.
