Goody! Another source of information. Thanks. It is a pleasure to read your listings and your postings. I can tell from your Ebay listings that you are knowledgeable, from your postings here that you are careful in packing, from your feedback that you keep your customers happy (not by calling them names when they call to complain!), and from your presence and postings here that you care about your reputation. Since I would like to buy a single decent sextant, one that I can maintain and be satisfied with for 20 to 30 years, I have to ask myself if I really want to go for the deep discount and run the risk of "negative surprise". I bet there is a greater than 50% chance I would be happy with the sextant from "that other guy", but I have to ask myself if the risk of opening the box to a total loss makes this him a good bet. You are correct in saying it is a tough decision. Take a risk on a better price, or vote with my dollars... hmmm. At the moment, I'm still just looking. Renee
