George, Thank you, that was very enlightening (as has been the whole thread so far and I'm not even caught up yet). As for which "GPS time" the race committee was using, I would bet a dollar to a doughnut that it was whatever appears in the little window, no further thought being given. After all, for this purpose the commodore's Timex would have been a perfectly acceptable standard. I did not know until today that there was another meaning of "GPS time," and I doubt that fact is wdiely know around the Eugene Yacht Club.
