    Hewitt,

I should advise you about the existence of Frank -- "Dr. Evil" Reed's newest nefarious evil invention: the Magneto-Blaster II, which renders compasses useless for a radius of 100 nautical miles. He has it mounted on his submarine which would shadow those Yachties.

Frank, wouldn't keeping a DR based on compass and speed (by prop turns or mechanical log, not the GPS) be a hedge against this?
