We do all need to be informed about possible problems with GPS. For example, there has been concern in the UK about satellites at certain times of the day being lined up East-West and hence giving a poor "cut". The US Govt itself tells us precisely what RIN and Philip Ouvry have repeated: http://www.volpe.dot.gov/gps/gpsvuln.html This explains the issue of vulnerability to interference. Loran is getting more funding - at the request of the (US) FAA - need we say more?
