This is not an astro-navigation question but one
which might interested some of the list members out there.
A thought occurred to me over the weekend as I was
tinkering with my new GPS receiver (Garmin 76S): If a person were in orbit around the earth and outside of the umbrella of
the GPS satellites -- that is, outside of their sphere of orbit -- what
position would one's GPS receiver yield?
