    Ah, the joys of the English language and trying to explain stuff.

    No, the pre-school isn't trying to teach the kids how to tell the time.   They were just trying to get reasonably accurate clocks in each classroom so that the teachers don't have to look at their iPhones to log "changed Johnny's diapers at 10:38 AM"  (don't laugh, the law now requires schools to log everything)

    What is this world coming to when even the atomic clocks in pre-schools won't synchronize properly? Seriously, ponder that phrase: "atomic clocks in pre-school". It's so "Atomic Age!" I suppose it's worth pointing out that the majority of GPS receivers including all smartphones manufactured within the past few years are excellent atomic clock repeaters rendering these WWVB clocks little more than "toys". No wonder they're buying them for pre-schools. :)
