Dear List,

on behalf of a student who is investigating the use of celestial 
navigation in modern shipping I forward his mail to the group. I am sure 
some of you would like to contribute to his research by filling in his

Hi,

I am a UK Student member of the Nautical Institute and currently studying
for my OOW certificate.  Part of this involves a study in to a maritime
related subject of our choice, I choose to look in to use of celestial
navigation at sea today.

I have created a questionnaire aiming to look in to how celestial 
navigation
is used today by OOWs.  I was wondering if you would be able to be of any
help by distributing this to any Nautical Institute members or 
completing it
yourself?  It is all sent by email and in case you are able to assist I 
have
attached the file which includes instructions for filling it in.
