Dave, I am upgrading my software to NOVAS 3.0 from NOVAS 2.0 DE405 + FK5, it uses ICRS instead J2000 reference, and take as standard the FK6 catalog that not include the navigational stars as FK5. What version are You using. And in the help there are some notes about GAST and GHA ...
