    Francis Chichester's Logs
    From: Bill Lionheart

I have just finished reading "Gypsy Moth IV circles the world" the memoir of Sir Francis Chichester's solo circumnavigation. He refers to sun sights alot and one can deduce he is doing sun run sun, and noon sights. But I didn't notice any mention of moon, planet or star sights.  He mentions he wrote a detailed narrative log, and includes excerpts.

I wonder where his log book is kept? Greenwich museum? Buckler's hard? British library? Any hints welcome as it would be interesting to check. At Buckler's Hard this summer I saw GM IV in the yard, and Chichester's  bubble sextant in the museum. He mentions using his spare sextant on the Sydney to Plymouth leg... a small one Mary Blewitt gave him!
