I'm in Papeete right now and am driving out to  Point Venus tomorrow. Gl

Gary Please find some breadfruit while you're there, and tell us what it tastes like.  A couple of copyright free photos would also be appreciated for my PowerPoint presentation.  Also any remaining sign of William Bligh. DaveP

We had "frites Uru," see attached photo. Uru is the Tahitian name for breadfruit. The "frites" (fries) tasted somewhere between french fried poatatoes and fried sweet potatoes, pretty good. There are many other ways that uru is prepared.

See photo of sign hanging in the Papeete market place.
