Looking again at my form, I have applied sextant corrections, with the signs reversed, to the Hc to arrive at Hp ("Altitude- precomputed")since this is the way it is done in flight navigation. Then you subtract Hs from Hp to find the intercept. It is done this way because the computations are done before taking the sight and the sight is taken at a scheduled time. Since the computations are already done you can draw your LOP within a few seconds of taking the sight.
"I am attaching a form for HO 208. This form includes lines for advancing the LOP by computations called "motions" as is done in flight navigation. If you don't do it this way then just ignore those lines."
