I appreciate your insights. However, I beg to differ with you on filling A-12 bubble chambers with alcohol which is hygroscopic and can cause corrosion or discoloration in the bubble chamber interior.
Also you cannot seal w/ shellac as alcohol dissolves shellac.
When working w/ old radium paint--better put a luminescent coating on top rather than trying to dissolve the old paint in acetone and repainting. Remember this is nasty stuff and creates disposal
issues.
