It is a sad story that you have to discontinue your Flight Navigation Website. 
I have already visited this very interesting site a few times recently. 
Still, as being a quite newcomer to NavList, I have to confess that I had not 
linked this site to yourself.

And as regards the last travel of Amelia Earhart on July 2, 1937, I have seen 
elsewhere that in the US, (Hawai ?) somebody (an other Lady I think) is 
having an Aircraft sister plane of Amelia's one, totally rebuilt and 
refurbished back into flying status and due for flight anytime now. And maybe 
her Maiden Flight has already taken place by now.

The fact that you are interested in Aircraft Navigation also explains the very 
interesting "Time of Meridian passage Accuracy" example which you submitted 
to us in [NavList 10009].

I would also take this opportunity to thank you for the interesting 
Information complement on this same subject you gave in [NavList 10045]. We 
now can better understand why LAN's were most probably never used onboard 
Aircraft.


Well, I wish you Good Luck for the future of your site renewal. In this 
upcoming endeavour and for lack of an equivalent Air Navigation expression - 
that I know of at least - I wish you "fair winds and following seas" in 
asmuch as this Marine expression can also be applicable to Air Navigation.
