    Also, there is the Farnese Atlas in the Naples Museum with the round globe on Atlas shoulders, sculptured in marble,  and the constellations in the form as God would see them, not as seen from Earth. This dates from early Roman/Greeco days, maybe before 0 CE. Took great appreciation of the round globe and constellations as they actually exist. This is probably how how Odysseus navigated as describes Homer, set probably 800-900 BCE. Fascinating.
