    Sean,

I get a local hour angle of zero at UT 17:06:57 on 11 April 2014 from the assumed position you provided. If the AP was a GPS position then you may have to check your watch error.

    First Noon Sight: Astra IIIb
    From: Sean C
    Date: 2014 Apr 11, 12:48 -0700
Well, after mowing the lawn I managed to sneak over to the water for a noon sight. As promised, here is my data:

    AP: N 37°02.5', W 076°29.3'
    HoE: 11 ft.
    Temp.: 79 °F
    Press.: 30.13 inHg
    Index Error: 0
    Watch Error: 0

There wasn't too much glare on the water, so at first I didn't use any horizon shades. But after a few difficult sights, I tried using one shade and found it much easier to align the limb. After evaluating my sights, these are the only ones I considered:

    ___LMT________Hs(LL)_

    13:02:16.....61°10.1'
    13:03:29.....61°11.8'
    13:08:20.....61°13.5'
    13:13:19.....61°11.8'
    13:15:31.....61°10.1'
