    First Moon-Star Lunar
    From: Ed Popko
    Date: 2017 Dec 24, 04:44 -0800

I'm blessed with first Florida winter vacation over the Christmas holidsays.  A real relief from Woodstock's 16F temps right now.   I have shot many moon-sun lunars but never a moon-star one.

I took advantage of clear, very dark sky, mid-60F temps and Frank's convenient GPS Anti-Spoof app with PAUSE feature to shoot my first  star lunars from central Florida.  Aldebaran-Moon (far) shots were super easy and results better than I deserved. My best shot of eight was this one.

    Dec 24th, 2017  GMT 00:05:54  Moon's age was 5.7 days, a waxing crescent.

Using Reed's algorithm in my HP calculator ...
