It is the most interesting question to me (though completely out of the scope
of the list), how did it happen that what we call "civilization" could
almost completely collapse. And whether it can happen again...
Yes, certainly the question of 'whether it can happen again' is the subject of innumerable science fiction novels. Just as a hedge, I'm learning how to cast natal horoscopes so I can continue to make a living should this come about. Maybe I'll establish an "Ephemerides-R-Us" store.
