Of these methods it appears that the steiner point comes closest to approximating the symmedian point and is extremely easy to use. (And, of course, there is also the eyeball method."

    I am attaching a photo of the same cocked hat with the steiner point identified by use of a template. You can see how close it comes to the symmedian point.
