Sometimes it can be tough picking up both bodies when trying to get started with a lunar observation over 60°. In lieu of pre-calculation try looking under the scope through the horizon glass picking up the Moon on the clear half then work the index arm back and forth until the Sun shows up on the filtered silvered half. This will save time, fatigue, and the possibility of dropping the scope. The attached image has the Sun and Moon measuring 105°. Picking up both bodies was no trouble at all. Then go to the scope for the actual measurement of the tangent limbs.
