Since many Nav-List members are pilots I thought I'd ask if any of you ever met my father, Leo F. Morrow. He passed away 29 years ago but at his retirement he was the Sector Chief for the FAA in Ontario California. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of the South Pacific theater having been a bombardier in B-17's and also did photo reconnaissance, in P-38's I believe. He didn't talk much about the war but I remember comments like "I'd never jump out of a perfectly good airplane unless a fire was behind me at the door". I asked him if he had ever fired the guns in his recon plane and did he hit anything. He said he did fire one burst but "wasn't stupid enough to turn back to check". He must have been interested in navigation as he took me to USPS Seamanship and Advanced piloting classes when I was in Junior High.
