Jeremy, I am interested in calculate the position by "Series of Sun sights in relatively rapid succession" using LS SR and Kaplan algorithm, and comparing the solution with the Noon calculation. You gave us the Dec, but no the date. Looking in the almanac the date may be 28 of may, isn't it? Nautical Almanac data --------------------- 2008/05/28 UT1 = 02:15:40 Body: Sun GHA = 214.602850 = 214 36.2' Dec = 21.501933 = 21 30.1' SD = 15.781508 ' HP = 0.144621 ' Andrs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
