Jeremy,
During my cadet days in the 70's we had extra credit which usually involved great circle sailing calculations, G.C. vertex, and Lats & Lons along the track. We weren't as creative in describing extra credit task as the following generations of cadets. Bonus Exotica and Bonus Erotica are very well coined ;-) Two thumbs up to Mass. Maritime on that.
