    Paul -

Yeah, thanks for kicking this topic off. It's been fruitful. Glad to know you have the books. The nicest thing you can do for an author is buy his book. Many thanks.

Gary, you are a treasure trove. I'm now motivated to get Volumes B and C of 218, so I'll be covered for passages south from here (St John USVI). Not the least of their many virtues is a type-size merciful to elderly eyes.

In my message Mary Blewitt vs M.J Rantzen (NavList 15819) I asked about the accuracy of the old H.O.218/A.P.1618 A.N.T.

Gary, in your messages you have answered my questions. Thank you.
And thank you for the attached table files and instructions. I had only one page available to compare with and wasn’t sure how to handle the refraction.
Further on you have expanded the question in the new thread Evaluation of H.O.218.

Hewitt, thank you for taking a clarifying interest.
(I have two of your CN-books on my shelf; the Commonsense one (1975) and the Nutshell one (2000).)
