    Re: Equation for dip?
    From: Peter Fogg

Square root of the height of eye in feet x 0.97
Square root of the height of eye in metres x 1.76

Example: height of eye is 10 feet
    (Sqrt 10 x 0.97 = 3.16 x 0.97 = 3.07)

Dip is 3.1 minutes of arc
