    Hi, Wolfgang -

Zacuto is widely described as both an astrologer and an astronomer, in addition to having a strong interest in what, for lack of a better phrase, was something of a Jewish mystic.     In that era, it was often difficult to disentangle the roles of astronomer and astrologer - they often filled both roles.

    Sorry for the typo:

the maximum declination was 23deg 33 min (Zacuto) and 23deg 30min (Regiomontan), of course.
