Good try Geoffrey, but the example doesn't really fit: a fence is a fence even if somebody straddles it. And if somebody else is on only one side of the fence you can't say that he is also straddling it because somebody else does. So kepler's astrological leanings don't mean that Zacuto also was an astrologer.

If there was a gate in the fence, you could pass from one side to the other without straddling. :-)
