Yes, there is. I read the account a couple of years ago. It dealt with Bounty’s voyage to Tahiti, what the officers and crew did while there, the mutiny, Bligh’s voyage after that event and the final journey of most of the mutineers.

An interesting part of the book was Bligh’s observation of the transit of Venus while in Tahiti. Bligh’s transit after the mutiny and his methods of navigation were touched on.

I can’t remember the name of the book or the author but it was published no more than 5 years ago. A woman wrote it. I’ll try to get the name of the author and get back to you about it.

    Hi all,

The subject of emergency navigation has several times come up in recent posts. I have long wondered if, by chance, anyone has any knowledge of the navigation performed by William Bligh after having been set adrift by the HMS Bounty mutineers. This was, after all one of the more famous historical small boat voyages. Is there any record of a journal having been kept detailing the navigation performed?
