Well, for one thing, with freight, it's about $600 for a sextant that you've not had your hands on :-( and good luck once you do if you don't like it, not to mention, $160 of shipping, IF, the seller would take it back. For another, I've had unsatisfactory experience buying two different sextants from Russia. I see this seller has 100% satisfaction however, which is a counterweight. But, what do I know........
