    Dave,

I was hoping the EN meant English
    :.

But seriously, how does this almanac compare with the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office almanac?  I, or I should say, my classes, have been burned by the Omar Reis On-Line Almanac and the NavSoft Almanac by daily page values not matching perfectly.

One obvious difference I see is that in the Increments and Corrections, the v or d values are given for every 0.3' rather than every 0.1'.  (One thing I have found recently in "our" almanac is that if you use the published formulas, you do not necessarily get the printed values.  It seems that when the second decimal place of the calculated value of minutes is around 5, e.g. ddºmm.m5', the almanac sometimes rounds up and sometimes rounds down to tenths of minutes, at least to the accuracy of a 32-bit operating system and Excel 2007.)

I suspect that any of these almanacs would be fine for "real" navigation, but in a class where
the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office almanac is the gospel, it might  be wise to avoid them.  This might also apply to the Skyhorse Publishing almanac, but I have never used it so I cannot say for sure.

    Stan
