    Dave,

    Yes, I think Dalton is where it started but the final E6B, as far as I can tell, was a joint patent with Weems.

    Attached are the original Dalton patents (2013603, 2097116 adn 2114652).  Weem's patents were for various projections and charting (2143042 and 2233440).

    I can not find the actual joint patent where it all came together. I have not yet found it under Dalton's or Weems' name. Still looking.
