Hello,
I submit to you a sketch for explain, in my opinion, the evolution from double altitude (Latitude only) to double chronometer method, by calculation or by projection.
Few comments :
1) Dunn and Ducom methods concern only the latitude (but the method of Ducom is more simple) ;
2) I dont know how Owen calulate the correction of longitude. For Lynn, see the book "Horary Tables 1827).
What do you think about this approach ?
