I'll agree with you that the dark band of ocean just below the real horizon can be misleading (and I've seen the same thing myself several times), but judging by the pictures it looks like the real horizon is visible just above it (faintly, but it's there). Or maybe the photos don't accurately reflect what you saw with your eyes that day? -- GregR --- On Thu, 12/4/08, Marcel Tschudinwrote: > From: Marcel Tschudin > Subject: [NavList 6679] Dip error > To: NavList@fer3.com > Date: Thursday, December 4, 2008, 12:00 PM > This summer I had the possibility to take here some photos > of an > effect leading to assume the location of the horizon to be > at the > wrong place. > http://picasaweb.google.com/Marcel.E.Tschudin/ShipsInTheSky1 > http://picasaweb.google.com/Marcel.E.Tschudin/ShipsInTheSky2 > > Marcel > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
