This is a first time dip short effort using a DSLR camera sun observation with a 35 mm Pentax lens on a 10MP Canon Rebel (1/1000sec, ISO 100, f4. Infinit focus, tripod). The dip short is to a horizon .55 nautical miles away from a height of eye of 40 feet. Sun is captured through solar film filter. All previous camera CN observations had been done with a natural horizon or an artificial horizon. Very happy with the 1.6' intercept.
