    An interesting note:  The GPS clock is some fifteen or so seconds off of UT1,
    and the correction factor is transmitted by the satellites to the receiver so
    the receiver can display the "correct" time.

    On the subject of GPS time, my Garmin GPS 48 and  La Cross 'atomic' clock
    show the same time as close as I am able to read them.  I also checked these
    clocks against standard stations WWV and CHU and I can say that everything
