    Actually your moving direction is track, sometime called course made good
    (CMG.) The GPS can't possibly know what your heading is, which might vary
    from your track by 20 degrees or more crossing the Mississippi in a slow
    boat in the spring.
    The guy that wrote the manual was thinking of a car. Unless you are in
    Wisconsin in the winter, on black ice, your heading will be your track, but
    not in an airplane or boat.
