Maybe this is quite unimportant, but the wording "with to the Sun" describes very precisely the wind shifting when a low passes on sailor's polar side (as is regularly the case with extratropical lows) - clockwise in the north hemisphere, anticlockwise in the southern one (when the sailor does'nt navigate between tropics during the wrong season). "Against the Sun" describes the opposite situation, of course. Jan Kalivoda
