The
price is right but you get what you pay for I suspect. It is the only sextant I
have used (so far). If you are careful, average your sights, check your IC by
measuring the SD of the sun before and after the sight, you can get pretty good
results. I use an artificial horizon twice a day to practice with (10:00 AM and
2:00 PM) and regularly come within two miles and many times much better. You
will enjoy being able to take multiple sights without your arm fatiguing, but
then again, you'll need to take multiple sights to be accurate.
