    Maybe this is true in the case of airplanes.
    But imagine yourself on a fishing or research vessel,
    or even on a smal yacht.
    Don't you need to know every day that day is it today??
    
    Even for enterinf entires in your log:-)
    Not speaking of Shabbats and other holidays:-)
