Jared, My reasoning was as follows. If you're traveling at 1 knot, that's about 1.5 feet per second. Since that's below the absolute resolution of the GPS, it might have trouble establishing an accurate course at such a slow speed. I know that relative resolution is actually governing here. But at some point there's a lower limit, where you're going to be going too slow for the thing to figure out which direction you're heading. I thought maybe this would be covered in one of the manuals. I unfortunately used the word current in two senses in a previous post, to refer to a flow of water and then to refer to an up-to-date speed. Fred
